I want to see my partner before the ceremony but I want it to be special, what are my options?

First looks are one of the most romantic wedding traditions, offering a private, meaningful moment for just the two of you before the ceremony. Not only do they ease nerves, but they also let me me to capture some of the unfolding awe and excitement between you.

They’re a really fun opportunity for all of us to put our heads together and get creative, but they’re also super duper time sensitive. Planning is key to make sure that the light’s right and I can be in the right spot to capture the surprise and wonder of the moment.

An option quickly gaining popularity amongst my couples is the first touch - where you get photos of you both holding hands around a corner or door without seeing each other. This sweet alternative gives you the comfort of getting to be with your favourite human before the ceremony, but they still get to experience the emotional impact of seeing you walking down the aisle looking incredible in your wedding day outfit.

When you’re ready, let’s talk about where you’ll each stand, where I’ll be, and how we can tee everything up so the shot is absolutely perfect.

If you’re not keen on seeing or touching your lover before you walk down the aisle, but still love the idea of a first look, you can do one with your parents, bridesmaids, and/ or grandparents instead which are just as much fun!
